GOAL #1: DEVELOP A PARISH-WIDE MASTER USE PLAN
CULMINATING IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW MULTI-USE FACILITY
Overview: There has been long standing and growing interest in providing
a new facility to meet the social and athletic needs of the Parish
and School. St. Catherine Parish seeks to develop a campus master
plan whose initial project will be the construction of a new multi-use
facility.
Objectives:
-
Gather further input from
the community on a vision for the parish campus.

Assist the Parish Facilities
Committee to develop a comprehensive Campus Master Plan, focused
on assessment of the current facilities space needs, current maintenance
and utility costs, and/or future remodeling or construction.

Develop a strategy to fund
a capital project.
GOAL #2: PROMOTE AN ABUSE-FREE COMMUNITY THROUGH
AWARENESS, ACTION, AND HEALING
Overview: Promoting an abuse free environment is critical to the integrity
of our parish ministry and the dignity of our parish community. Recognizing
that a commitment to vigilance is a commitment to prevention, St.
Catherine Parish seeks to prevent all forms of abuse through awareness,
action, and healing.
Objectives:

Verify compliance with existing
prevention policies

Review and enhance school
anti-bullying policies and training
-
Obtain and disseminate prevention
information related to all forms of abuse

Cooperate with the Archdiocese
and appropriate authorities to ensure prevention

Comply with all necessary
reporting requirements to ensure swift remedial action
GOAL #3: SUPPORT LIFE LONG AND PARISH WIDE FAITH
FORMATION
Overview: To promote and develop quality faith formation opportunities
that includes all members of the community. Recognizing that faith
formation is a life long process, which involves both individual and
the communal experiences of God’s presence among us, St. Catherine
Parish seeks to support life long and parish wide faith formation.
Objectives:

Promote church attendance
for the whole family

Offer parish-wide intergenerational
faith formation gatherings

Assess and enhance programs
for children

Provide opportunities for
faith formation for adults
GOAL #4: FOSTER PROGRAMS FOR SOCIAL ACTION AND SOCIAL JUSTICE
Overview: The Catholic Church has
a long tradition of commitment to social action and social justice.
St. Catherine Parish seeks to collaborate to minister to the needs of
the poor and work for social justice.
Objectives:

Identify, promote, and evaluate
current social action ministries (St. Vincent de Paul, Baby Corner,
and Sparrow Club).

Form a Social Justice Committee
to promote social justice locally and globally (writing letters).

Promote awareness of and
collaboration between school and parish social action and social
justice activities.
GOAL #5: PROMOTE EVENTS THAT FOSTER SOCIAL INTERACTION
AND GROWTH
Overview: St. Catherine Parish seeks to nurture
a community that prays and plays together.
Objectives:

Develop
and implement a comprehensive plan for inviting and welcoming
new parishioners and school families.

Periodically and through
various means, assess and respond to changing parish and school
needs.

Enhance community building
through recreational, social, and spiritual interaction.
