Trading Spaces?
For the last several years, the Archdiocesan CYO office has rented space at the old rectory from St. Catherine. This has generated income of about $3,000 per month for the parish. We have been given information that CYO will be moving sometime around June 2006. This would open up the rectory for other uses. We have been exploring different ways to use the rectory building and the Siena Center. Some of the ideas that have been proposed include remodeling part of the rectory to use as parish offices and meeting spaces and remodeling, renting or selling the Siena Center. What happens to the spaces is contingent upon many factors, including the need to maintain a priest residence, approval from the archdiocese, zoning regulations, financial projections and further study of what the best use of each space would be.
