IMPORTANT NOTICES ABOUT CHRISTMAS
CHURCH OPEN ON CHRISTMAS EVE DAY:
The church will be open on Christmas Eve Day, December 24th, from 10:30am to 4:30pm for individuals and families who may want to stop in for a visit. The church will be decorated and lit during this time and quiet music will be playing over the sound system. It's a great opportunity for those who may not want or be able to attend one of the Christmas Eve or Christmas morning Masses. No sign-up is required, but safety protocols must be met.
CHRISTMAS MASS REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
We are asking everyone who plans on attending one of the Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning Masses to pre-register. And we ask that this be done as soon as possible. Because of Archdiocesan and state mandates, we are limited to 75 congregants for each service in the church. For the 5:00 pm Christmas Eve Mass, overflow attendees will be directed to the hall for a live stream and Communion.
UPDATED INFORMATION on regular Masses
Our Weekday Masses have been canceled until Father Patrick returns.
There will not be a streamed Mass for the weekend of December 26-27. You may view weekday and Sunday Masses at St. James Cathedral at this (LINK):

AS 2021 APPROACHES
Thank you to all of our parishioners for their Time in prayer, their Talents serving our parish, and their Treasure shared throughout this most challenging year. May God continue to bless you in this New Year!
THE IMPACT YOU MADE WITH YOUR ST. VINCENT DePAUL DONATIONS
St Catherine’s parish is a bright light in the neighborhood this Christmas. Thanks to your very generous support of the St. Vincent de Paul Christmas program, 37 families will enjoy a delicious meal and eyes will sparkle as gifts are opened. You provided the Christmas cheer for 128 children and adults who were not sure they would feel the spirit this season.
Can you feel the warmth of their smiles? Many were not aware of our parish but asked to extend their sincere gratitude to you for providing their Christmas this year. Because your donations exceeded the amount needed for the food and gifts, we expanded the number of families served from 30 to 37, and we will be able to provide support for rent, utilities and food to additional neighbors in the new year.
A huge THANK YOU from your SVDP conference members.
SUCCESSFUL PETER'S PENCE COLLECTION
The 2020 Peter’s Pence Collection has concluded and we are pleased to report that our archdiocese raised a total of $126,523.78. This generous gift will be sent to our Holy Father to assist him in his charitable works supporting victims of war and natural disasters. Thank you for your contributions!

UPDATE ON OFFERING OF THE SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION
Due to COVID regulations limiting our ability to meet in person, preparation for receiving the sacrament of confirmation will be postponed until such a time when a mid-size group is able to meet in person. This is to make sure that preparation for Confirmation is as effective as possible. If you feel that there is a compelling reason why you or your child needs to receive the sacrament of confirmation this year, please reach out to Fr. Patrick and individual arrangements will be made on a case by case basis.

A Christmas Prayer for God’s Blessing
Heavenly Father, help us to honor the birth of Jesus.
May we join in the praises of angels,
the gladness of the shepherds, and the worship of the wise men.
May the Light of your Son shine forth in this dark world.
May His peace take away our anxiety and fear.
Help us to forgive and to be forgiven.
Teach us to love one another as you love us.
Amen.
